Biography
Dr. Wenlin Huang joined the ³Ô¹Ïtv faculty in 2013. She received her B.S. in chemistry from Peking University (China) in 1991 and her Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1999.
While at ³Ô¹Ïtv, she has taught Principles of Chemistry I and II, and Analytical Chemistry.
Huang has a broad spectrum of research interests, from instrumental analysis to environmental chemistry (e.g., pesticide in water resources) to public health issues (e.g. air toxicants, diabetic vascular complications).
Prior to joining ³Ô¹Ïtv, she worked eight years as a senior chemist at the Coca-Cola Company, and five and a half years as a senior fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

- Diabetic vascular complications, in particular, diabetic nephropathy (DN) and diabetic atherosclerosis (DA)
- Pesticides and other trace level target compounds analysis in water and beverages using HPLC and GC/MS
- Air toxicants and smoking-related elevation of cancer risk in U.S. population
- Analysis of greenhouse gases (e.g. CFCs, methyl halides) and their fluxes between ocean and atmosphere
