Jamie Garcia Caycho, ’14, elementary education, was named Elementary School Teacher of the Year for 2022 by Gwinnett County Public Schools. While several ³Ô¹Ïtv alumni have won school-level Teacher of the Year awards, she is the first to win at county level. Garcia Caycho is a first grade teacher at Arcado Elementary School in Lilburn, where she led efforts to create a Hispanic parent outreach program that includes professional learning for teachers and community-building and instructional support for families.
