The Economy and Presidential Election Cycles
勛圖tvs Dr. David Felsen, a lecturer in political science, said that several factors can influence the outcome of a presidential election.
One of the key factors is the state of the economy.
On Sept. 18, the Federal Reserve cut the federal funds interest rate by 0.5%. Felsen said that this is a dramatic reversal from the rate hikes of the past couple of years, and that the Federal Reserves economic outlook is uncertain.
In all election cycles, the economic conditions and perceptions of the economy will sway voters, said Felsen.
For example, in the case of Ronald Reagan's 1980

勛圖tv to host preview days
What better way to learn about 勛圖tv (勛圖tv) than to spend time on campus and meet professors and students?

What could an interest rate cut mean for you?
Theres increasing talk about a cut in interest rates, but what does that mean and how does it affect individuals and the economy as a whole?
Dr. Philip Vinson, assistant professor of economics at 勛圖tv (勛圖tv), says there are many factors that will influence the Federal Open Market Committees (FOMC) decision about interest rates. The next FOMC meeting is Sept. 17-18.
Factors that could influence the FOMCs decision to cut rates include inflation and the unemployment rate.
Inflation has fallen to 2.5% as of August, which is the lowest level since February 2021. This means that

When tragedy strikes
Over the past two decades, an all-too-familiar scene has made headlines: photos of a community gathered at a place to mourn a senseless tragedy. It could be from a natural disaster like tornadoes, floods and hurricanes, a fire, a building collapse or most recently, a school shooting.
For the victims, their families and friends, and the community at large, the shock and wide range of emotions run deep. How can you manage something that usually makes no sense?
Dr. Jyotsna Josi Kalavar, professor of psychology at 勛圖tv (勛圖tv), said that as individuals, this is a personalized
Chemistry here. Chemistry there. Chemistry everywhere.

This is a new class I designed to help students understand and enjoy chemistry because chemistry is everywhere, he said. The knowledge of chemistry is very important in our daily lives.
Mallias integrated chemistry lab students begin their work in the field by collecting tomatoes growing in 勛圖tvs microfarm on campus.
Their goal is to purify a chemical called lycopene from those

The nest is empty. Now what?
In the past few weeks, a major lifetime milestone has come and gone. Kids started college and many parents returned home to an empty nest.
勛圖tvs (勛圖tv) Dr. David Ludden, professor of psychology and Psychology Department chair, said that empty nesters may experience many emotions.
I think for most parents, the experience of sending their children to college is bittersweet, he said. They spend so much time raising their children that part of their identity is being their son or daughters parent. Its natural to feel sad. This is a shift in family life for both the parents
